What can't go in
Most dumpsters can't take hazardous materials. That usually means paint, chemicals, oil, batteries, tires, propane tanks and appliances that still hold refrigerant. Ask before you toss anything you're unsure about.
Pick the drop spot ahead of time, too. A loaded roll-off is heavy and can crack a thin driveway, so firm, level ground is best. Boards under the wheels help.
